2019 Hyundai Elantra NH

Last year, Hyundai treated its popular Elantra model - now in its sixth generation - to a complete makeover. The result was better styling, enhanced ride quality, technology upgrades, and excited new buyers at our Hyundai dealer in NH.

Drivers of the 2019 Hyundai Elantra will benefit from these 2017 tweaks. Aside from a few trim level changes, the only significant change to this year's model lineup is the SEL trim, which replaced the SE equipped with the Popular Equipment package.

Other than that, the compact Elantra continues to offer surprising levels of luxury and refinement, at an affordable price. Irwin Hyundai is proud to be one of the top New Hampshire Hyundai dealers, with an incredible selection to choose from.

Polished Performance Across the Board

The 2019 Hyundai Elantra features three engine options, dependent upon trim level. The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that nets drivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, operated by a six-speed manual transmission, standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.

The Eco trim features a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, generating 128 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque, paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Finally, for those in need of a boost, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, matched to either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic.

Of all the trims, the Sport is undoubtedly the most fun. Even the salespeople here at our NH Hyundai dealership are talking about how great the performance is on the Sport model!

Starting with the turbocharged engine, drivers enjoy more get up and go from the Sport, not to mention added refinement from the rear suspension, featuring firmer tuning. The Sport features a flat-bottomed steering wheel, heated sport seats up front, leather upholstery, xenon headlights, enhanced brakes, and 18-inch alloy wheels with super-grippy tires.

Send the Sport to the next level with the sole package option: Sport Premium, which gives the Sport an 8-speaker high-end sound system, dual zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen, Blue Link, automatic-dimming rearview mirror, and navigation.

Get to Know the Available Trims

Between the three engines and three transmission options, consumers also have six trim levels to consider in their new Hyundai Elantra. With pricing to suit any budget, the new Elantra starts at MSRP $16,950, topping out over $22,100, depending on package options.

SE Trim

The SE trim represents the entry level option, and is equipped with the 2.0-liter engine with either transmission option. Base level features include: power mirrors, air-conditioning, front disc and rear drum brakes, 3.5-inch display and six-speaker sound system, height-adjustable driver?s seat, 60/40-split folding seat in the back, USB port, and 15-inch steel wheels. Opting for the automatic transmission delivers drivers steering-wheel mounted controls, cruise control, and Bluetooth capability.

SEL Trim

Jumping up a single step introduces the SEL, which includes significant upgrades over the SE, like: automatic headlights, rear disc brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors, keyless entry and push-button start, rearview camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, back seat cupholders, leather-wrapped steering wheel, sun visor extensions, 7-inch touchscreen, integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth.

Value Edition Trim

The Value Edition suggests less, but actually is full of fun features like LED daytime running lights, sunroof, hands-free trunk release, door-handle approach lights, and an automatic dimming rearview mirror, along with heated seats up front.

Eco Trim

Although the Eco offers more in the way of fuel efficiency, courtesy of the 1.4-liter engine, it features much of the same bells and whistles as the Value Edition, minus the automatic-dimming mirror and sunroof. The wheels drop in size by one-inch, too.

Limited Trim

For a little bit more of everything, check out the high-end Limited edition at our Hyundai dealer in NH, which delivers LED taillights, exterior enhancements, leather upholstery, power driver seat, three USB ports, Hyundai?s Blue Link telematics (provides diagnostics, Google search, and locking/unlocking via a connected app), and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The sunroof is optional. Other optional features are provided in the Limited Ultimate package, which includes a high-end eight-speaker sound system, a larger (8-inch) touchscreen with navigation capabilities, heated back seats, enhanced gauge cluster, sunroof, driver-seat memory settings, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and intervention, and adaptive cruise control.

Space, Style, and Safety

No matter the trim level, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra provides ample cargo space, measuring 14.4 cubic feet, a competitive number for the segment. Granted, folding the back seats extends the space even further, allowing for significant storage capabilities.

In addition to the primary cargo space provided by the trunk, the Elantra is rich with extra cupholders and useful compartments.

Although not yet evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Elantra is rich with passive and active safety features, in line with cutting-edge technology and innovation.

Car seats are easy to install, thanks to the roomy back seat, and given the Elantra's IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation, expectations remain the same for the new model.

Between its affordability, extensive options, and enviable aesthetics, the Elantra is a strong representative of its predecessor?s award-winning reputation.

The 2019 Hyundai Elantra is a head-turner, due to its sleek and sporty style. The interior is celebrated as one of the best in the segment - with color choices including Beige, Black, and Gray. Thanks to the extensive exterior palette, drivers can choose the color most reflective of their personal style and personality.

Shades include: Black Diamond, Black Noir Pearl, Ceramic White, Electric Blue, Electric Blue Metallic, Galactic Gray, Lakeside Blue, Machine Gray, Mineral Beige, Mineral Beige Pearl, Molten Silver, Phantom Black, Quartz White Pearl, Scarlet Red, Scarlet Red Pearl, Symphony Air Silver, and Symphony Silver.
